Keep your label as it is. Ingredients and nutrition go in the e-label.
Wine produced since 8 December 2023 needs a nutrition declaration and a list of ingredients. With Weinlabels you enter both online and print just a QR code on the label. Free with no expiry date, no tracking, hosted in Germany.

What goes on the bottle and what goes in the e-label
EU Regulation 2021/2117 allows part of the new mandatory particulars to be provided electronically. Two of them still have to be printed on the label.
On the label
- energy value in kJ and kcal per 100 ml, abbreviated as “E”
- allergens, for most wines “Contains: sulphites”
- the QR code with a clear reference such as “Ingredients and nutrition”
- the existing mandatory particulars such as alcohol content and volume
In the e-label
- the full nutrition declaration per 100 ml
- the list of ingredients with allergens emphasised
- in the languages of your sales markets
- no advertising, no shop links and no collection of user data
How to create your e-label
From account to print-ready QR code usually takes less than a quarter of an hour. All you need are the analysis values of your wine.
-
Register your business
Company name, address and email address. We do not ask for payment details, because there is nothing to pay.
about 2 minutes
-
Enter the analysis values
Enter alcohol, residual sugar and acidity from the wine analysis. Weinlabels calculates the energy value; you select the ingredients in the form.
about 5 minutes per wine
-
Check the preview
See the e-label exactly as your customers see it on their smartphone. It only goes public once you release it.
1 minute
-
QR code on the label
Download the QR code and send it to your printer. Later corrections do not change the code, so printed labels remain valid.
editable at any time
Labels already printed?
Printed labels can be supplemented. Create the e-label as usual, download the QR code and have it printed as a sticker, for example on 4 × 4 cm rolls. Place the sticker next to the label together with the energy value and the allergen statement.

What producers say
Quotes translated from German.
Using weinlabels.de has made things much easier for us, and it is simple to handle. The QR codes are quick and easy to generate.
Creating the QR codes and nutrition tables was surprisingly simple and straightforward. Thank you for that. We are very happy with Weinlabels.de and recommend it without reservation.
I am glad there is such a simple, clear platform that lets us meet the new EU rules free of charge. We get all the information onto our existing label at no extra cost.
I was glad to come across your platform back then. The new EU rules completely overwhelmed me. Your application is easy to use and works without problems. That it is free made it even better.
Weinlabels.de has everything under control: mandatory information, simple and clear for everyone.
This year I had to put the QR code on my label for the first time, and I was grateful to find weinlabels.de, where I could create the code without any trouble. When I had a question, I got an answer quickly.
Wine labels are small works of art. It is great that the QR code leaves room for the beautiful things.
I came across Weinlabels at ProWein and was convinced straight away. In my view it is a must for winemakers.
The rules are a real hurdle, especially for suppliers outside the EU. With Weinlabels, we can keep importing.
Who is behind Weinlabels
Patrick Schöller
I work in digitalisation and have a passion for wine. With Weinlabels I want to give producers an independent, free way to meet the EU requirements. The platform was developed as part of my master’s degree in computer science.
